Depending on manufacturer’s requirements, you can expect that your equipment should be inspected annually at a minimum, and immediately when anything changes that could affect the hardware’s functionality (i.e., major weather episodes, power issues, any change that could damage the equipment or make it unsafe to use, etc.). For equipment utilizing software, updates or patches should always be installed promptly.
